As a coach, I’ve done 5 or 6 launches of my own “stuff”
But as a consumer, I’ve engaged with well over 10X that number.
And it’s always alarmed me to see coaches who would use these last few hours to line up the champagne, count the paypal notifications, and drool over their Maui vacation booking page waiting for them on an open chrome tab.
(sometimes quite literally
documenting that on their Facebook or LinkedIn feeds)
Kinda makes you ask the question…
What’s their real conquest?
Their big launch numbers.. or your success?
If it was the latter, then the celebration would be deferred to weeks or months later once YOU, the actual client or partner are actually succeeding through the program.
So, as we enter the final 5-ish hour countdown, I’ll offer
a reminder:
Despite the abundance of emails the past few weeks…
It’s not about our launch.
Never has been.
It’s about what happens after.
Here’s my very non-Insta-worthy plans over the next 5 hours as we wrap this party up…
- Going out to dinner with my husband, Don
- Giving Oliver (my dog) a good brush (He loves being pampered. And yes, that’s HIS
skateboard)
- Watching a movie (Pride and Prejudice. It's my favorite, and I learn something new every time I watch)
- Be on standby for any last minute q’s (you can reply to this email)
- Get a peaceful night’s sleep (knowing that my work is about to help so many of you!)
And then most importantly…
Read through the profiles of our Best Career Strategy Course Ever members; seeing your names, faces, and stories – and offering some
words of gratitude!
Because once the launch is done,
The real work begins.
Yes there will be relief.
Yes there will be a sense of accomplishment. But the wine clinks won’t just be between Don and
I.
They’ll be between you and us.
And there’s no one I’d rather clink with
