Messages that Land Meetings & Hidden Opportunities

Hello !
How you approach your network can result in relationship-building conversations.
By sending the right messages to the right
professionals in your network, you'll get more career related meetings.
Do you have the mindset to change your approach?
Here's how to get the most positive responses....
Every Message Needs A Plan and Intended Outcome
If you're trying to schedule time with peers and colleagues to reconnect but your messages and letters are not getting responses, then you need to reconsider your approach.
Write a boring, self-centered message, and it will FIZZLE....
When your outreach is about a new opportunity for you, and the conversation is about you, what you want, what you would love to have happen when you reengage, then make the mindset shift and do this...
Make it about "them" to add a bit of SIZZLE.
Write your message to reengage and reconnect to make it about the professional relationship.
Follow these tips to create Sizzle...
Have a goal: Write your letter with the goal of having a brief reconnect face-to-face or video. Don't carry a conversation in email exchanges---it will fade to nothing
fast.
Focus on how the meeting will benefit them---that's what leads to a positive response to a call request. Stating that you would "love to have a conversation" is not important here because that's about you.
Communicate with other leaders as an equal. Leaders appreciate talking with other leaders because they plan to benefit from the communication.
Reach out to many of the right people. As
you tune-up your letter, and with enough outreaches, you'll begin filling your schedule with relationship building conversations that generate career activity, including referrals and introductions.
Here's an example of a letter that can successfully lead to a meeting. The focus is on how your expertise can benefit "them" and make your meeting worth their while.
